Muller Engineering Company, a 5-years’ consecutive Top Workplaces designee, is seeking a qualified candidate to enhance our team of Accounting Professionals within our Accounting/HR Group. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled accounting professional who wishes to play an important role in the success of Muller. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, able to handle confidential information, analytical, detail-oriented, organized, dependable, flexible, and willing to perform a variety of tasks with little guidance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the accounts payable process
- Oversight of accounts receivable including application of customer payments
- Preparation and analysis of monthly and yearly financial statements including reconciliations
- Financial transactions and general ledger
- Assist with preparation of monthly corporate financial reporting
- Monthly bank reconciliations and quarterly reporting
- Assist outside CPA firm preparing annual corporate tax return by assembling needed information
- Colorado DOT Overhead audit coordination and FAR compliance
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, forecasting, and financial dashboards
- Assist with streamlining of accounting functions and operations
- Assist management with important financial decisions
- Additional duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
- 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience that includes creating financial statements, reports, and analyses that are easy to understand and experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
- Advanced knowledge of Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint desired
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with budgeting/forecasting
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures
- Knowledge of Spreadsheet Server a plus
- Experience with FAR Compliance a plus
- Experience in A/E/C Field, or similar service companies, a plus
- Effective communicator that can multi-task
- Ability to handle confidential/highly sensitive information

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
