Our Information Services Division (ISD) is recruiting for a unique
opportunity for a Core Tech Support Supervisor!

Duties

As a Core Tech Support Supervisor, your exceptional customer service and leadership skills will benefit this team of core support staff who are responsible for data security, computer imaging and software deployments. You will rely on your technical knowledge to configure new and existing workstations with necessary applications, access, and security updates. You and your team will be traveling between our state buildings in Olympia and Tumwater to support the agency. You will lead the way for this team that will support end users, hardware, applications, and nonstandard hardware, throughout the agency.

Some of what you will do:

  • Move and transport DOL equipment.
  • Support applications (install, uninstall, and troubleshoot).
  • Coordinate customer support for computing system problems.
  • Install hardware and software.
  • Update inventory system with equipment changes.
  • Support coverage and scheduling for Service Desk, Core buildings, and Field Office.

Qualifications

What you will bring:
Eight (8) years combined relevant education and experience in computer science or closely related field, consultative, customer service, or administrative in information technology analysis, system maintenance, or troubleshooting/problem resolution.


Education to experience equivalency
Associates degree = 2 years | Bachelor’s degree = 4 years | Master's degree = 5 years

What May set you apart:
  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience coordinating multiple technology support groups and outside vendors to achieve timely and efficient problem resolution to complex issues.
  • Supervisory or Lead experience to include interviewing, evaluating staff, discipline staff, training, leading, or mentoring.

Additional Conditions of employment:
