Coordinator of Returning EOF Student Experience
Job description
We are seeking a Coordinator of Returning EOF Student Experience that reports to the Director of the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program or designee. The Coordinator researches, implements, documents, and assesses evidence-based retention and completion interventions to ensure that all returning EOF students receive high impact support services at the college and are prepared for life after PCCC.
This is a full-time, administrative position.
Example of Duties:
- Develops and coordinates initiatives that are designed to retain EOF students in their second year and beyond
- Facilitates a Graduate Seminar workshop series to ensure students are prepared to successfully transfer to a senior college or transition into their desired professional field
- Coordinates the planning and implementation of the PCCC EOF Transfer Fair
- Liaises with campus based leadership and professional development units to enhance the EOF returning student experience
- Cultivates and maintains community partnerships that will result in the professional and leadership development of returning EOF students
- Maintains relationships with EOF staff at senior colleges and universities to ensure the successful transfer of graduating PCCC EOF students
- Trains and supervises a part-time staff member who assists with EOF transfer and event planning for returning EOF students
- Advises individual and groups of returning EOF students as needed
- Collaborates with EOF staff to ensure that all returning EOF students successfully complete the College Writing Exam and other items featured on the graduation checklist
- Maintains student records for returning EOF students including, but not limited to: recruitment and advising contacts, notes, and workshop attendance
- Coordinates elements of the EOF Summer Institute as needed
- Assists with the cultivation of donors for EOF transfer scholarships
- Maintains a virtual space dedicated to graduating EOF students and alumni
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the EOF Director or a designee
Qualifications:
- Master's degree required.
- Minimum of two years of administrative experience working with programs in an urban setting
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and in interpersonal interactions
- Ability to work with a diverse team of faculty, staff, and students
- Ability to work with college and community partners to coordinate student support services
- Sensitivity to the needs of the student population of an urban community college
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Suite including, but not limited to, Word and Excel
