Job Description Summary
Children’s Mercy Park is looking for a Cook to join our Culinary Team for the 2023 Major League Soccer season. Our Cooks, under direction of the Executive Culinary Managers, will be responsible for effectively supporting all stewarding operations at Sporting KC locations. Our Food and Beverage program provides our players, fans, and guests with only the highest quality of accommodation and customized service.

The part time position is to be a key contributor to the Hospitality team while ensuring all work is consistent with the Sporting KC brand purpose: “We create memories through personalized experiences with our Club.”

Job Description

ASSOCIATE PERKS

Pay starting at $15.00 per hour.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Execute daily prep lists
  • Assist in opening and closing duties daily
  • Adhere to kitchen cleanliness guidelines
  • Maintain food safety and health standards
  • Chop vegetables
  • Prepare meats
  • Make sauces
  • Follow City Foods & Events and Sporting Kansas City policies and procedures

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Be able to interact with fellow associates in a friendly, professional manner
  • Capable of working in a high-volume environment with calm, collected attitude
  • Proficient in multi-tasking while maintaining safe food handling
  • Strong teamwork attitude

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1 year experience in high volume kitchen preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of high-volume production cooking
  • Must be willing to work hours that vary, according to the event schedule
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
