Responsibilities/Qualifications:
It is the primary responsibility of the Cook to prepare hot food items according to the main kitchen menu, recipe standards and customer request while ensuring preparation and service are of the highest possible quality in a timely manner. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Specific Job Functions:
- Maintain a working knowledge of menu items and recipes
- Work rapidly and accurately
- Utilize proper food handling techniques following Health and Safety Standards
- Able to follow all health department codes and regulations including but not limited to all paper work and logs required for all kind of texts
- Maintain proper stocking of assigned station and know the mise en place
- Clean, maintain and organize work area
- Assist Chef in menu preparation and service
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
- Minimum three year high-volume cooking experience required
- Must possess good recall and memory
- Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms
- Must have knowledge of kitchen equipment and good knife skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor a must
