The Controller is responsible for managing the Company’s strategic financial structure and day-to-day financial accounting activities. The successful candidate for this position must have previous experience managing and working cross-functionally with departments along with the ability to interact with all levels of management

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

As an integral member of the Finance Team, this position is responsible for:

Essential Functions

· Develops, coaches and mentors a staff of 23 employees to provide optimal service and support.

· Manages the company’s fiscal operating results.

· Oversees and evaluates company expenditures.

· Evaluates, designs, and implements fiscal procedures and controls.

· Reviews fiscal reporting including cost accounting, budgets, pro-forms, and government reports.

· Establishes and recommends to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company.

Responsibilities

· Financial Reporting including balance sheets, income statements, statement cash flows and cash reconciliation.

· Guides employees in the execution of federal, state, and local tax filings.

· Prepares reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.

· Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.

· Assures timeliness and completion of tax filing and payments.

· Coordinates audits of company's accounts with public auditors.

· Prepares and manages annual budgets ensuring compliance with financial guidelines and delivers presentations to corporate officers regarding accounting policies and practices.

HERE’S WHAT Education & Experience YOU WILL NEED:

Required Education and Experience

· College degree in Business or Accounting, MBA is preferred.

· CPA license required.

· 10 years of financial and accounting leadership experience.

· 5 plus years’ experience in a multi-unit environment.

· 5 plus years of supervisory experience- managing subordinates and developing people.

· Proven experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Great Planes/Sage software preferred

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

· Strong people and project management skills

· Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax filings rules and regulations.

· Proficient PC experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Great Plains, or other comparable database applications).

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong knowledge in excel, spreadsheets and Vlook ups

Strong Work history

The ability to manage large amounts of data

Restaurant/Franchise experience preferred

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
