CONTROLLER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in Monthly prep of annual internal/ external financial reporting for Koelsch management and lenders / REITs
- Preforms final reviews of financials on existing communities
- Oversees preparation of analytics reports to key decision makers including KPI, side by side PLs, occupancy data, revenue data, expenses, and Ad Hoc reports as requested.
- Research lease / loan docs and summarize covenants for VP of Finance.
- Assist with governmental reporting as needed for: W-2's, 941s, and lead various audits with accountants.
- Point of contact with tax advisors for cost segs, property tax appeals, and personal property tax reports.
- Research and stay updated on business state / federal tax requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
CONTROLLER QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment in a friendly and professional manner.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, powerpoint, and word.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Self management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Organizational and planning skills.
- Discretion and good judgment with confidential information.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Must be drug-free and submit to drug screening upon hire and routinely.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.
COVID-19 RESPONSE: CONTROL AND PREVENTION
- Our Staff and resident vaccinations exceed CDC study percentages.
- Completed over 100 vaccine clinics to date, giving nearly 5,000 COVID-19 vaccines.
- Screening of EVERY person who enters a community for temperature, symptoms, travel history, and known exposure.
- Frequent and routine aerosol misting of viral disinfectant in the community.
- Installation of air purifiers throughout the community.
- Installation of ultraviolet sanitation stations at the entrance of many communities.
- Routine infection control training for staff and essential visitors.
- An increase in both food and PPE stock.
- Working with local and state health departments.
- Continuously evaluating conditions and making improvements to our COVID-19 prevention and response.
