The Controller, who will report to the CFO, will provide leadership, overall direction, and coordination of the Controllership function of this multi-site, multi-entity occupational medicine system. The role will oversee the financial management and reporting, financial planning and reporting and provide oversight for back-office services. This will include directing the accounting activities, managing continuous cost reduction initiatives, overseeing procurement and vendor management systems, establishing accounting procedures and internal controls, development of forecasts and reporting guidelines. Ensures compliance with the department’s policies. Oversees complete revenue cycle accounting including accounts receivable, refund processing and cash accounting, accounts payable, preparation and consolidation of financial statements, management reporting to executive leadership and external stakeholders, coordination with external auditors, working with tax preparers to ensure timely filing of corporate tax returns for all applicable entities and maintenance of books and records for Obligated Group parties to the senior credit facility.

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the income statement and development and maintenance of the 5-year EBITDA forecast model using growth rate assumptions and key performance metrics in consultation with Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Demonstrate complete understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle, collaborate with the CFO and EVP of Business Services to monitor accounts receivable, extract billing data and perform queries using Microsoft Power BI or other database tools to record net patient AR and revenues, perform revenue analytics to report on collection trends by dates of service, payor class, service type, center location, etc.
- Direct management of the operational aspects of the accounting department including coordination with the Central Billing Office (CBO), Accounts Payable, and Payroll, accounting for Capital Expenditures, and accounting for deferred rent, lease and leasehold improvements.
- Drive culture of expense management and review and lead the purchasing department activities to ensure efficient and cost- effective procurement of goods and services.
- Provide oversight and administration of Concur, AP Smart & Surgicare, vendor management and ePayables systems.
- Drive automation of financial statements, management reports on key metrics of the business, and forecasting process utilizing Intacct and/or Datarails.
- Oversight of center profitability by ensuring center P&L’s are prepared with accuracy, including review of allocation rules on general center costs and corporate costs for reasonableness and consistency.
- Oversight of and direct, hands-on involvement in the entire accounting function, including “ownership” of the companies’ books including all aspects of the monthly, quarterly and annual close, reconciliations, and basic reporting functions associated with general ledger management.
- Monitor daily cash position, perform treasury management functions including interbank transfers, cash flow forecasting, senior credit facility covenant compliance, and assisting the CFO with various reporting requirements.
- Oversight of the company’s tax processes at the local, state, federal and partnership levels, ensure timely filing, engage in tax planning, and review tax strategies with outside tax preparer.
- Lead the management and production of a repeatable and timely financial statement closing process, special analyses and information reporting for all constituents including management, partners, financial institutions, and auditors.
- Maintain controls and procedures surrounding Intacct and establish sound reconciliation and maintenance of the data feeds with various information system platforms such as IMS, Occuflex, Paycom, Datarails and related banking partners.
- Establish and implement short and long-range department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Coach and mentor other members of the finance and accounting team and seek to build overall corporate financial acumen.
- Be a positive role model and change agent for the department and a sought out financial partner within the Company.
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in Controllership or Accounting environment (Big 4 experience a plus). Previous Controller or Assistant Controller experience a plus.
- Multi-location, Mulit-Entity healthcare provider experience a plus, PE backed company reporting a plus

- Accounting degree, CPA and/or MBA Preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, cloud accounting & finance software. Exceptional Excel/Database management systems, Sage Intacct & Datarails are a plus.
