Job Requirements:
Manages some or all of the functions for general and property accounting, payroll and benefits accounting, accounts receivable and payables accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting and budgetary controls, human resources, and information systems. Serves as an active participant in LSS programs and exercises that promote continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Controller Job Responsibilities:

Partner with Plant Manager and BU FP&A Leader to manage controllership of two sites.

Presents Financial Reports to business unit and local management team.

Partners with operations to achieve budget objectives through tracking of key performance indicators and initiate corrective actions.

Manages one direct report to ensure timely closing activities for the site.

Leads all forecasting and budgeting for the Green Island and Hoosick Falls sites.

Oversees and reviews accounting responsibilities including month end ledger close and variance analysis.

Knows and adheres to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures in conjunction with corporate policies and procedures.

Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
Financial Planning & Analysis Manager Qualifications and Skills:
-
Manages direct reports.
-
Communicates effectively and has exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Excels at multi-tasking, organization, and time management.

Develops strong working relationships with colleagues across all functions.

Strong research, analytical and modeling skills, experience with financial statement analysis, accounting process / procedures and internal controls.

Strong Excel skills including data analysis and forward looking modeling.

Consistently operates at the highest level of integrity, never compromising the teams ethical standards.
Qualifications/ Experience:
-
BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or related major is required.

CPA/CMA and or MBA preferred.
-
At least 8 years in progressive accounting & finance roles with at least 2 years of Managing Direct Reports.

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
