Summary

Founded in 2002, Beyond Basics is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to eradicate illiteracy, transforming the lives of students, and creating stronger communities. Our one-on-one, multisensory tutoring program helps students achieve grade-level proficiency in reading in an average of six weeks. In addition to our structured literacy interventions, we cultivate curiosity and encourage a love of lifelong learning with fine arts activities that expand horizons.

We are looking for an experienced and charismatic Contract and Grant Coordinator to join our team and help us build our fundraising foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching prospects, writing, and submitting grants, as well as communicating and ensuring contractual obligations are met.

Primary responsibilities:

• Conduct research on potential funders, including public and private foundations, corporations, and individual donors to identify new prospects for the organization.
• Establish and maintain calendar of grant due dates.
• Explore the stakeholder network of potential funding opportunities to find people connections to our network.
• Write compelling and creative grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and other donors.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization?s mission and services.
• Track progress and follow-up with donors and funders.
• Provide insight into fundraising trends and emerging sources of grants.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all contract requirements are fulfilled.
• Ensuring contracts are properly executed, stored, and maintained.
• Other duties as assigned.
