AMPED is seeking a Part-Time Content Writer to join the AMPED team to write engaging SEO and educational content for our website and customers’ sites. This content includes blog posts, guides and marketing copy.

Content Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication. If you’re familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you. Feel free to share samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles, along with your resume.

Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.

Responsibilities

• Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
• Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
• Prepare well-structured drafts
• Using grammar-checking and SEO tools for content
• Engage with customers to seek approvals when needed
• Writing, Proofreading and edit blog posts before publication
• Submit work to project managers or others for input and approval
• Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles, or request graphics
• Follow SEO guidelines which will be provided to incorporate keywords and phrases organically into content increase web traffic
• Experience writing white papers, guides, blogs, case studies, brand guides, webpage content
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone) for multiple customers
• Update website content as needed, including posting and scheduling blogs on Wordpress
• Ability to manage and meet shifting deadlines
• Experience writing in different types of industries, writing styles
• Experience with email marketing and social media preferred
• Creative with taglines
• Proven experience working under pressure to deliver high quality output in a short span of time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task projects and deliverables
• Thought leader, aware of trends and technologies and have the ability to be imaginative, conduct own research, and work with limited information;
• Ability to write for B2B and B2C customers
• Writing headlines, taglines, scripts, AVs for brands and also conceptualizing advertising ideas
• Writing a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, case studies, guides, white papers, etc.);
• Researching markets and industries to compare and create content that is innovative and original;
• Generate content initiatives in all forms to attract, acquire, and engage a clearly defined and understood target audience;
• Collaborating with campaign managers, creative team, and designers.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
• Portfolio of published articles
• Experience doing research using multiple sources
• Familiarity with web publications
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
• Ability to meet deadlines
• BS in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field'
