The Role

At Fidelity, we want to help our customers make the right decisions about their retirement savings and stock compensation plans. We’re looking for a content strategist who understands how these plans work—but even more important, someone who can put themselves in the shoes of our customers to create digital experiences that are clear and help customers make the right decisions for themselves. If you can empathize with others, understand what matters to them, and you're a writer, we’re looking for you!

In this role, you’ll write content that's easy to understand, concise, and free of financial jargon. You’ll use your content, design, research, and business experience to help drive innovation and deliver best-in-class digital experiences that support our customers.

The expertise and skills you bring

• A minimum of 6 years' experience in digital content design, UX writing, or content strategy with high attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple workstreams at once
• Organized self-starter who’s passionate about keeping progress moving forward, not only for yourself but for the entire team
• Knowledge about retirement savings, rollovers, and stock plans
• Experience working with cross-functional, agile teams preferred
• Adept at using language that is compelling, concise, and friendly
• Comfortable defending your content decisions with executives and legal, and ability to negotiate edits with diplomacy and an open mind
• Willingness to jump into different roles with an eye to the future of digital content design
• Knowledge about using data and analytics to find opportunities to improve the customer experience
• Ability to work with multiple decision-makers
• Experience collaborating with designers, researchers, developers, and other partners to write and test user-focused content that guides customers through an experience, while maintaining tone standards
• A test, learn, and optimize mindset for content development
• Ability to work across teams to deliver a cohesive customer experience across products and channels
