The Global B2B Marketing team is leading a 9-month effort to develop and begin implementation of a multi-channel, multi-region, multi-product/solution/brand content marketing strategy. This strategy will help meet business objectives by creating brand salience, distinction and supporting ease of doing business with KCP by proactively serving helpful, relevant content at the right time.
The Content Marketing Strategist will co-lead the development and implementation of the content marketing strategy.
Responsibilities & Expected Outcomes:
- Identify goals for content strategy
- Conduct a content audit, analyze results & formulate insights
- Conduct a competitive analysis, analyze results & formulate insights
- Work with SEO specialist to conduct an SEO analysis, analyze results & formulate insights
- Identify types of content, i.e. Hero/Help/Hub
- Website:
o Identify what we need to support the content, i.e., Evergreen, Real-Time content, Forms/Downloads, Campaigns, etc.
o Plan for serving content on website - i.e., what article pops up next? Can we feed content readership to social or email? How do we provide helpful authenticated content?
- Social Channels: integrate best practices from social SME
- Demand Gen: identify any new touchpoints needed, new formats, linking approach, etc.
- Formats in general: identify necessary formats to drive engagement: more video, less video, more infographics, less infographics, more icon heavy content, less of that, etc.
- Develop content pillars. Simply...what topics should we focus on the most assuming limited ability to execute on all solutions effectively
- Developing content governance guidelines for tone, style, and voice of all content, and ensure they are followed
- Develop measurement plan & report development - including CX measurement
- Address lead capture & forms - flowing through to CRM
- Develop & deploy content development and review process - governance & RACI
- Develop and deploy training with MarTech & Marketing Automation
- Develop and implement content creation and distribution calendar
- Develop and deploy ongoing review and optimization plan
- Develop ongoing experimentation plan w/MarTech
- Create plan for reusable content - begin creating efficiency in the content development and enhancement process
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years content marketing strategy consultant, agency or client-side experience
- Proven successful development and implementation of a multi-channel content strategy
- Multi-brand content marketing experience
- Excellent copywriting skills to plan, direct, design, and edit content that get results.
- Content presentation skills – ability to determine how content should be packaged for new and existing consumers to induce them to take business actions.
- Content delivery skills – ability to determine the best distribution channel to deliver content to your audience
- Experience in handling and strategizing marketing campaigns
- Content monetization skills – ability to plan how your content can get customers to buy your product or service and thereby earn revenue.
- Demonstrated contagious positive energy to influence, inspire & drive results
