Summary of Responsibilities:
Assists in planning and overseeing the execution of marketing communications for Western & Southern Life field and CRC distribution. Concentrates on communications with collateral ideation related to strategic events and initiatives such as the Leaders Sales Meeting (LSM), the Agency Leadership Conference (ALC), Majors sales campaigns, Field Advisory Board, Premier group, fireworks event - including research and oversight around communications channels, written copy, video, electronic media, overall creative design, and analytics while serving as a liaison to Compliance, Legal, PR, M&DCOE, and the Marketing Support and Execution team. Develops and executes daily communications activity on a number of platforms – email, Snapshot, AgOL, and wslife.com. Works with some supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to manager when necessary and updating manager on a regular basis.
Position Responsibilities:
Contributes copy, graphic design, video support and idea generation to tactical marketing development and executes on communications with field reps (internal communications, Connect, Field News, etc.) in coordination with all Agency Group units.- Oversees the design, development and content (written copy, digital, audio and video media) for W&S Agency Group events (such as LSM, ALC, Agency Business Reviews, Legion, Associate Appreciation, FAB, Premier Group).
- Coordinates content for the development and execution of marketing concepts and materials for product and sales promotions and agent marketing training materials. Pulls copy from Skyword Learn articles and Marketing Support and Execution associates.
- Manages the product launch process/plans with the Marketing Support and Execution team, Product Management, Compliance/Legal and various vehicles of communications required.
- Oversees the consistent voice, language and messaging in all marketing collateral, including print and electronic communications to our producers.
- Provides research and development around channels of communications for field-facing communications and internal clients. Tracks readership analytics and reports findings to leadership to improve process and lower expenses.
- Manages the Agency Snapshot platform – copy development, daily implementation/maintenance and promotion.
- Supports project management of Agency Major’s campaigns – daily messaging, weekly video, weekly results.
- Acts as backup for Presidential and Sales VP ghostwriting and primary for Presidential QBR and Quarterly WebEx meetings.
- Participates on project teams for assigned projects, from conceptualization through completion, ensuring timely and quality delivery of final materials. Evaluates custom marketing requests from field and CRC associates and determines what level of support is appropriate while working in conjunction with the Marketing Support and Execution team in fulfillment of requests.
- Works in tandem with the Agency Marketing and Existing Client team for project-specific management and reporting support.

Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated substantial, progressively responsible work experience as a strong marketing professional with increasing responsibilities within the financial services industry. Experience will have encompassed identifying, quantifying and providing creative solutions to complex marketing problems.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communications skills with experience conveying information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner while following proper rules of punctuation, diction and style. Ability to prepare correspondence, reports and forms using a prescribed format. Must provide examples of clear and persuasive business writing skills (marketing materials, reports, presentations, recommendations, etc.).
- Proven experience working independently with little direction, including identifying and resolving problems where independent decision-making and initiative are required. Cite examples of independent decision-making and initiative.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in leveraging resources via a shared services model.
- Demonstrated self-starter with proven experience maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when handling demanding situations.
- Proven experience in interpreting, articulating and applying complex technical information into enticing, understandable collateral. Examples of researching and writing collateral created specifically within the financial services industry would be preferred.
- Proven experience coordinating multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Must cite examples of organization and time management methods used to manage or prioritize workload demands. Must demonstrate project management experience in planning, executing and maintaining a project from start to finish.
Work Setting:
Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position continuously for long periods of time frequently while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.- Performs frequent movement of wrists, hands and fingers for continuous computer work.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate selection criteria experience.
Computer Skills and Knowledge of Hardware & Software Required:
Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications.
Certifications & Licenses (i.e., Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.):
None required.
