The Senior Consultant – Cloud Accounting Implementation Specialist is responsible for reviewing business process flows, gathering requirements from stakeholders, and implementing Sage Intacct financial management and accounting software for clients. This position performs responsibilities related to ensuring client satisfaction through all stages of the implementation lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or a related field is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a professional environment is required.
  • Prior experience with cloud-based accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, Oracle NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
  • Experience in managing projects or consulting is preferred.
  • Must have capacity to perform at an intermediate or advanced level with respect to Sage Intacct or similar financial management software applications, such as Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle NetSuite.
  • Must be familiar with specific accounting financial management processes, including procure to pay, order to cash, and record to report.
  • Must be comfortable with technology and capable of learning and working effectively with various software applications.
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills in business and technical environments. Strong writing and presentation skills required.
  • Must professionally and appropriately communicate with a diverse group of individuals and deal effectively with interpersonal relationships.
  • Must possess a high degree of professionalism including the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information.
  • Must have a positive attitude and work well independently and with teams.
  • Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames.
  • Must be highly organized and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative, and continuously changing environment.
  • Must be technically proficient to perform at an intermediate or advanced level with software tools including, but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of Sage Intacct’s cloud financial management solution and keeps abreast of upcoming product releases and complementary solutions, including attending product conferences as needed.
  • Assists in executing project planning and management tasks to support the Systems team.
  • Builds and maintains trusted relationships with diverse group of clients, co-workers, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Conducts business analysis meetings with clients to understand and capture functional requirements.
  • Translates functional requirements into a solution definition to be implemented within the system.
  • Configures software to meet the documented needs of the client.
  • Performs data conversion from client legacy system to new system.
  • Educates clients and explains features and functionality of accounting software application features to support day-to-day processes.
  • Assists in development of training materials and presentations as required.
  • Supports client user acceptance testing of their configured software environment.
  • Provides post-go live system implementation support including responding promptly to client questions regarding general accounting and technical issues.
  • Works collaboratively with clients to replicate and document system issues, prioritizes multiple client cases, investigates and researches issues, and assists with timely issue resolution using available resources.
  • Continues to assess manual accounting processes to make automation recommendations to clients.
  • Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional manner to develop cooperative relationships and to ensure that client confidentiality is substantiated.
  • Establishes, coordinates, and maintains data integrity of procedures, processes, and controls.
  • Prepares work papers reflecting results of software implementation efforts, ensuring documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Performs quality assurance review of all project deliverables.
  • Ensures client satisfaction through open communication, managing expectations, and meeting deadlines.
  • Completes assigned engagements/tasks in an efficient and timely manner as defined by budget and specific engagement expectations.
  • Communicates regularly on project progress, blockers, and milestones. Helps identify and clear roadblocks to ensure project success.
  • Assists project leaders and teams in identifying resource needs and completing individual responsibilities within a project.
  • Maintains required CPE hours for Firm and licensing standards.
Other Duties:
  • Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external parties. Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional and cooperative manner.
  • Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance (e.g., procedure optimization). Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service. Actively supports teamwork throughout the organization.
  • Performs other services as assigned.
Other Considerations:
  • May be required to work extended hours during the work week and/or on weekends as needed.
  • May be required to travel and work from different firm and client locations.
