We are currently searching for an experienced Construction Superintendent to support our West Texas Region in Nacogdoches, TX.

What you’ll be doing:

• Direct construction engineering administration and inspection project/program primarily for transportation projects
• Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members; develop and/or review project specific policies, methods, practices, and procedures
• Review programs for conformance with Client standards
• Identify and pursue future opportunities
• Develop and maintain an excellent professional relationship with those organizations to facilitate both the successful completion of current ongoing projects and the successful pursuit of follow-on assignments
• Preparing proposals and estimates for new projects
• Reviewing technical work and reports prepared by others
• Managing projects so that schedules and budget are met
• Periodic visits to construction or work sites to perform inspections

What you need to have:

• Experience in Bridge and Highway construction projects with demonstrated knowledge of contractor means and methods
• 15+ years of progressive experience in construction management
• Familiarity with TXDOT Policies and Procedures
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Demonstrated experience in QA/QC development and project implementation
• Knowledge and understanding of project controls, including CPM scheduling, cost estimating, contract administration, and change order and claims analysis
• Demonstrated skills in negotiating, coordinating, and directing work of subcontractors, and in developing strong working relationships with general contractor personnel, subcontractors, inspectors, and other related parties
