Position: Construction Estimator

Location: Gold River, CA

Compensation: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience

Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time / Direct Hire Position

Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

• Some remote work may be available once the training process is complete.

The Opportunity:

As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for the oversight of the project cycle for construction restoration. Work closely with adjusters and TPA’s to negotiate and agree upon a dollar amount and scope of work. Prepare detailed cost estimates for each phase of the reconstruction project and work with the construction team when changes to the budget are required.

Primary responsibilities may include the following:

• Using Xactimate software to estimate reconstruction and general construction projects.
• Prepares construction budget by studying home plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each phase of the project.
• Evaluates site requirements and communicates status to the reconstruction team.
• Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information.
• Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
• Attending all appropriate company meetings and company sponsored training sessions
• Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum requirements for consideration for this role are:

• 3-4 years estimating construction projects
• Restoration experience (Mold, Fire, Water Damage) preferred
• Analyzing Information
• Developing Budgets
• Vendor Relationships
• Ability to work both independently and as a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Good time management skills
• Ability in problem-solving
• Strong sense of urgency
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid CA Driver’s License / Clean driving record- no major citations
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background check.
