Configuration Manager

Location:

Nevada ANG, Reno, NV

Job Summary:

Applicant will perform configuration management activities to protect the integrity of software and applications supporting Air Force enterprise-level mission support systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains configuration management of enterprise-level mission systems
  • Documents, updates, and reports local inventories of hardware and software baseline
  • Ensures documentation meets standards established in the Configuration Management Plan
  • Participates in Configuration Management Board meetings for review of change requests
  • Ensures site Configuration Management Plan aligns with system development life cycle
  • Tracks status of new capability requirements, deficiency reports, change requests, and trouble tickets to provide site leadership with most up to date information
  • Champions a collaborative, team-based environment, sharing standard methodologies, and building positive relationships

Required Abilities/Experience:

  • Previous experience performing configuration management for mission support systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with other technicians
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Abilities/Experience:

  • Functional knowledge of financial software requirements and sustainment of financial software systems
  • Experience executing within a customer-centric environment

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience


Job Stipulations:

Must possess a current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent IAT Level II certification

Must be a US citizen and hold an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

Must be able to work onsite at government or contractor facility locations

Must be compliant with DOD vaccination policies


Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
