Cone Debone – General Labor

Mountaire Farms at our Selbyville location is looking for hard working individuals to join our Cone Debone Team!

• Day Shift (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. approx.)
• Night Shift (5:00 p.m. - until finish – between 12:00 a.m. up to 3:00 a.m.)

Summary Description:

Load cones on the line. Cut the shoulders. Pull the skin from the cone. Score and clip the tenders. Pull the breast from the carcass then grade.

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

• Put a cone on the moving line.
• Using a knife, cut the wing from the breast.
• Pull the skin from the breast.
• Using a knife, score the tenders from the ribs.
• Pull the breast from the carcass, inspect for bones and skin then toss fillet on the moving conveyor.
• Scale the finished product.

We offer an Incentive Program for our Breast Debone department based on a scoring system! Up to $19.50/hr.!

• Shoulder Cutters (1st cut and 2nd cut)
• Wing Rollers
• Tender Scorers

Physical/Mental Demands, Working Conditions and Environment:

• Ability to display good attendance.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able and willing to lift between 25-50lbs.
• Must have flexibility with repetitive hand movements.
• Must be able to stand on concrete surfaces up to four continuous hours with a minimum of 8 hours per shift.
• Must be able to perform strenuous work in a damp environment with temperatures ranging from 45 to 55 degrees.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to follow USDA, Quality Assurance, GMP and Food Safety procedures including PPE, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions of supervision.
• Ability to use knives and other essential tools as needed.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Strong/Stable work history
• Previous debone experience
• Experience in production, or manufacturing
