Job description

Concrete company currently looking for a junior estimator assistant to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for creating precise and accurate estimates, tracking material costs and unit pricing per multiple items/trades through our estimating software. We are looking for someone that has concrete experience in residential and commercial construction.

· Concrete knowledge a must

· Computer literacy, must have experience using Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of AutoCAD.

· Must be able to cope intelligently under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.

· Must work as a collaborative team member with other departments to ensure satisfactory completion of projects.

· Ability to take direction and follow company policies and procedures

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor. These must be applied when communicating with clients, suppliers and other team members.

Good time management skills; must be able multitask and work in multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

· Quickly creating bids, change orders and to prospective clients

· Provide clear detailed quantity Take Offs and proposal preparation

· Ability to fully and extensively read through plans.

· Creating accurate and precise cost estimates, negotiate bids with sub-contractors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

• San Diego, CA 92113: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Construction estimating: 1 year (Required)
