Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst (COSA) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located out of Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview:
The selected candidate will be part of a team that reports to the JEMINI O&S Leadership and performs daily system monitoring, operations and maintenance of the multi-classified domain C2BMC JEMINI systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment.
Essential Functions:
- The candidate will provide first level technical support to the warfighter and perform initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC JEMINI hardware, software and networks.
- The candidate will document and report all events/issues using Atlassian Confluence and Microsoft Office products to the JEMINI O&S Lead, and receive tasking and direction from the JEMINI O&S Leadership for all operations, test & real world events.
- The candidate will also assist in all hardware/software installations as directed by the local SMEs.
- Performs other duties and assignments as required.
- Position requires rotating 24x7 shift work at steady state but not initially. Candidate will be assigned to a shift and assignment to be determined by mission requirements. Some substitute rotation during off-shifts, including nights and weekends will be required when the time comes.
Basic Qualifications:
If applicable, please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume.
- An active Top Secret clearance is required.
- 2 Years with Bachelor’s degree in a related field;6 years’ experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
- Sound background and experience with operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environments.
- Sound background and experience in system and/or network administration that could include the following (Linux, Windows, Nutanix cloud infrastructure, MDA CLAN and DISA EM network usage).
- Sound background and experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components using bash/pearl scripting or Ansible.
- Sound background and experience in data flow usage and ability to troubleshoot with DISA and MDA network connectivity.
- Must have the ability to maintain additional caveats to Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of C2BMC System or Missile Defense Systems.
