Qualifications:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required; Registered Nurse (RN) preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Assisted Living Industry.
  • Proven ability to successfully educate and train staff.
  • Appropriate state licensing where required.
  • Effective communication skills commensurate with professional standards.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of and past work experience with Kansas State regulations for Assisted Living.
  • Must have or be willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine, subject to legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
Compliance Nurse is responsible for providing clinical oversight and regular audits for Care Department processes and procedures on the Hearthstone Campus. This individual focuses on providing the highest quality of life for residents by ensuring level of care is accurate and the communities are in compliance with state, federal, and Company quality enhancement regulatory policies.

  • Review systems in the Care Department at the community level and report findings regularly to the Regional Vice President and Divisional Director of Care Management.
  • Ensure community meets Quality Enhancement Standards.
  • Conduct Medication Cart and Medical Records (MARS) Audits to ensure all aspects of the Medication Program are being completed in compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Audit Resident File for accuracy and to ensure compliance with state, federal, and Company regulations and policies.
  • Audit Functional Capacity Screen in comparison to Negotiated Service Agreements to maintain continuity of service.
  • Conduct electronic health record audits.
  • Monitor Nursing Documentation to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Educate and train Care Department Personnel as related to Atria Care Perspective.
  • Maintain QE and State Survey Binders and update regularly with current and accurate data.
  • Monitor the Incident Reporting Process to ensure state compliance is timely and complete.
  • Generate bi-monthly reports with information including, but not limited to, audit results, in-services completed, and community compliance with systems. Present this information to the Regional Vice President, Divisional Director of Care, and the Focus Committee.
  • Maintain a good partnership with state regulatory agencies to ensure resident care is adhering to best practices.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Salary: Starting at $1.00 / hour
