We are searching for a dynamic Compliance Manager to join our Team!

What you do:

The Compliance Manager provides oversight and direction, ensures adherence to, and maintains appropriate updates for all elements of the Compliance Program. Responsible for establishing policies, procedures and standards for the clinical practice and office-based services setting related to healthcare delivery to patients, provider performance, health information security and compliance with established federal and state laws and payor requirements. Builds business partnerships that provide value to the organization and resources to support the Compliance Program.

What you will be working on:

Compliance Program Monitoring and Implementation

  • In coordination with the Compliance Officer, develop, review, revise policies and procedures which support the Corporate Compliance Plan and follow applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensure education and training on Code of Conduct, Workplace Conduct and other compliance-related policies provided to physicians and staff
  • Ensure Capital Digestive Care establishes business relationships only with individuals and entities that have not been excluded from participation in federally funded healthcare programs
  • Participate in audits initiated by private or government payors
  • Review findings from internal or external audit to identify and address compliance concerns

Compliance Violation Management

  • Educate and train physicians and employees on requirement to report all suspicions of compliance violations and ensure employees who report compliance violations are not subjected to retaliation, harassment or retribution in response
  • Establish and maintain a process for receiving information, assessing and investigating all actual or suspected compliance violations
  • Share analyzed data, metrics and trends of incidents to the Quality, Risk and Compliance Committee

Incident and Grievance Management

  • Ensure standards are in place to resolve complaints or grievances or to report, investigate and respond to incidents involving patients in a prompt, reasonable and professional manner
  • Develop corrective action plans and when necessary, re-train physicians and staff on policies relevant to an incident
  • Maintain record of incidents, along with details of investigation, corrective actions, post-training as needed

Health Information Security

  • In coordination with the Security Officer, ensure medical records and patient information is maintained in a safe manner and eliminate unauthorized access
  • Schedule and participate in the annual Security Risk Analysis as required by CMS
  • Conduct, or ensure completion by other means, annual HIPAA training with physicians and staff
  • Ensure patients have timely and unobstructive access to medical records upon request

What you know:

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience or knowledge:

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare compliance monitoring

· Understanding of laws and regulations related to healthcare compliance, including HIPAA security

· Previous experience working in an accredited or regulated setting preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field

· Minimum 1-year experience in training or presenting to others

· Willingness to travel to practice sites, as needed
