Scope and Purpose of Position:
The Compliance Analyst I perform compliance activities in support of obtaining and maintaining licenses and certifications for business operations as outlined below.
Essential Functions:
- Obtain and maintain all licenses necessary to carry out the organization’s business activities including, but not limited to, utilization review, third party administration, insurance producer and preferred provider organization licenses and network adequacy reports
- Liaise with various state departments of insurance and regulatory agencies to obtain clarification regarding licensing regulatory requirements and submissions
- Conduct regulatory research and analysis for new and existing licenses
- Manage and maintain the compliance licensing database, LicenseHQ. Create custom reports, track, monitor, audit and prioritize distribution of licensing requests to business owners
- Partner with Management to identify compliance issues and risks, escalating and formally reporting potential non-compliance violations
- Effectively communicate licensing compliance policies and practices to internal business teams
- Work collaboratively with the Director on new business licensure initiatives and research
- Support coordination, tracking and development of licensing and compliance projects
- Collaborate and foster relationships with internal business associates and become a value-added partner
- Assume additional clerical and administrative duties and responsibilities, as needed or directed
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in managed care, business, healthcare administration or equivalent combination of experience and education
- One (1) year of compliance and/or licensing experience in insurance, managed care, vision care industry or health setting preferred
- Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting insurance products preferred
- Proficiency in MicroSoft Office and computer experience

As a component of job roles and responsibilities, Associates may have access to covered information, cardholder data or other confidential customer information which must be protected at all times. As a result, Associates must explicitly adhere to all data security guidelines established within the Company’s Privacy & Security Training Program.
