Colorado Public Radio (CPR) is seeking a Human Resources Compensation and Benefit Specialist.
About the Position:
The Human Resources Compensation and Benefits Specialist provides strategic planning, implementation and administration of our classification architecture, wage and salary and benefits programs within CPR. Management of these programs include items such as pay surveys, job evaluations, base pay analysis, compensation changes, employee benefit analysis. This role will maintain transparent, equitable and consistent application of our compensation and benefits programs with an eye toward educating and coaching management and staff. This person will also research market trends, generate analyses and find improvement opportunities for our executive leadership’s review.

Minimum Qualifications:
· 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in managing and administering position and compensation practices (such as job classifications, market surveys for pay and benefits, and compensation modeling).
· Knowledge of Human Resource management and compensation.
· Demonstrated ability to resolve compensation and benefits-related matters, make recommendations for organizational policies and procedures.
· Analytical skills necessary to identify and resolve compensation database problems, design methods of maintaining compensation programs, and analyze statistical reports.
· Experience with utilizing and managing benefits and compensation in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
· Extensive knowledge of benefits and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation. Strong compensation and benefit subject matter expertise and skill set.
· Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with internal and external business partners, and other stakeholders required.
· Strong leadership skills and ability to educate, influence and motivate others is required.
· Demonstrated ability to develop a team approach to planning and problem solving, and lead in a shared decision-making environment.
· Ability to translate strategies and priorities into strategic and operational plans.
· Strong organization, written and verbal communication skills.
· Previous Human Resources experience preferred.
· Strong people and project management skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field that helps understand and effectively administer compensation related matters.
Education Equivalency
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or a related academic professional discipline OR 5 - 7 years of relevant experience.
