Job Purpose
The Compensation Analyst is the key resource for the company’s salary and incentives programs and supports other compensation programs.
Essential Functions

Work with Human Resources Manager and consultants on a variety of projects including program design, analysis, budgeting, and implementation of new programs.
Administer organization base pay and incentives programs including annual focal review and incentives/salary cycles.
Manage projects such as survey participation and analysis, compensation integration for internal equity and market reviews.
Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and work with HR manager to educate hiring managers.
Work with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that the HRIS system meets compensation needs and is updated to reflect changes to salary structures, bonus programs, etc.
Communicate salary and bonus programs in New Hire Orientation.
Assist managers with compensation related issues.
Assist with the ongoing administration of compensation programs and practices.
Participate in the development and delivery of annual budget, merit and bonus guidelines and manager reference materials during the annual year-end pay planning process.
Participate in salary surveys and provide market analysis on an annual and ad-hoc basis
Develop job codes and descriptions for new and revised positions.
Review exemption status and ensure jobs are compliant with FLSA standards.
Must have Excel expert level skills.

Knowledge of Laws, Policies/Procedures, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of federal state and local laws, rules and regulations governing employment
Knowledge of operational characteristics; including, but not limited to recruitment, employment services, compensation and benefits, employee relations, customer service, and training and organizational development.
Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems, classification studies, satisfaction surveys, reduction in force.
Knowledge of mandated rules and regulations governing personnel programs including, but not limited to FSLA, ADA, and EEO.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.
Ability to work cooperatively with internal and external contacts to facilitate and ensure completion of all departmental matters.
Ability to use good judgment in the completion of a variety of work situations.
Ability to work independently on difficult or complex tasks and projects.
Ability to apply effective time management practices to organize and plan work to meet deadlines.
Ability to define problems and implement/suggest solutions.
Ability to question established methods and suggest improved processes.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience in analysis, design and/or administration of compensation programs.

Internal & External Customer Service
This position requires extensive external and internal contacts. The employee will accomplish various contacts with very advanced verbal and written skills.
Travel
This position may require occasional overnight state wide travel annually.
This position requires occasional local travel in person vehicle.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree
Defined Education: Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration
Preferences: Experience in non-profit organization
Substitutions: Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Years’ Experience: At least 3 years
Defined Experience: Analysis, design and/or administration of compensation programs
License/Certifications: A Current Valid Texas Driver’s License

Additional Requirements
This position may require temporary or permanent re-assignment to any MHMR Tarrant office, location, or facility as determined by program needs or the Division Director.
Assigned work hours may change as the needs of the agency change.
The Functional Title of this position may change as the needs of the agency change.
All work will be completed within the scheduled work hours. No work is done off the clock.
Prior approval from supervisor is required for all Planned Time Off (PTO).
Agency dress code is to be followed at all times.
