DUITES: Promotes an understanding of the RTA as a major contributor to the economic, social and environmental vitality of Greater Cleveland through educational programs and community outreach. Initiates, develops, and increases partnerships, community awareness and community support of public transit. Prepares/maintains written and oral scripts, reports and brochures for management staff and RTA employees. Organizes and solicits speaking engagements to community groups. Handles Authority wide ADA (Americans With Disabilities Act) projects. Trains a core group of RTA employees to conduct school presentations and on-site facility tours. Performs administrative functions for various community relations projects. This position will promote a safe and secure atmosphere, follow all safety and security rules and perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have Bachelor Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Social Service, or a related field of study. Three (3) years community relations or outreach experience is required. Experience must include presentation, public speaking, and event management. Familiarity with the rules and regulations of the Americans With Disabilities Act in a public sector position is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
