Overview:
Provides project management to assist NASA Glenn Research Center, Armstrong Test Facility (ATF) staff with outreach activities including the ATF Robotics Alliance Program (RAP) Regional Outreach Center (ROC) coordination and activities, ATF facility tour support, and other STEM related outreach activities. This position will require occasional travel to support regional RAP-ROC activities.
Responsibilities:
  • Apply considerable practical knowledge and readily acquired skill and resourcefulness to manage outreach activities.
  • Provide oversite support of outreach activities and leadership in the planning, preparation, and execution of activities.
  • Maintain organized files containing emails, design clarifications, meeting minutes, or any other material that relates to outreach activities.
  • Provide periodic status reports on outreach activities to TFOME Manager and all required NASA stakeholders.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in overall planning and execution of outreach activities.
  • Coordinate with TFOME Safety, Facility Managers, and customer personnel for any onsite activities.
  • Develop project related presentations and present at design reviews, safety reviews, and other interface meetings, if required by more complex projects.
Qualifications:
  • Requires, as a minimum, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, etc.) or equivalent and at least 10 years of applicable experience managing outreach activities at government sites.
  • Requires general knowledge and understanding of aerospace facility operations.
  • General understanding of computer systems, including being proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, e-mail, and web-based databases is required.
