Position Description: The Program Manager will lead in designing, implementing and evaluating programs and consultative service agreements related to MCD’s community health worker projects. These include but are not limited to the three-year HRSA CHW Training Program, CHW Apprenticeship, CHW Core Competency Training and other CHW projects. The position may involve personnel management, contract management, budget accountability, funder relations and reporting, new business development, and strategic planning. The position involves coordination with the other associated projects, programs and staff, with MCD senior program team, MCD’s IT Team, and other MCD staff involved in CHW workforce development and training. This position is Remote (Northeast U.S preferred)
Supervisor/Accountability : Reports to the assigned Public Health Co-Director.
Essential Job Functions
(These responsibilities and duties are specific to the hired position)
Oversee the CHW Training Program deliverables, including overseeing progress on objectives and activities to ensure timely completion of work plan goals and milestones- Supervise assigned program/project staff to ensure their fulfillment of the activities and terms of grants and contracts and ensure compliance with relevant state, federal, local and foundation regulations in the performance of those activities.
- Oversee recruitment and training of new project staff and/or consultants as needed
- Work closely with the CHW Training Program Director, CHW Apprenticeship Administrator, and the entire CHW Training Program team.
- Ensure execution of all service agreements, MOUs, and related documentation required to achieve project goals with subcontractors, employer sites, consultants and CHW trainees
- Monitoring the performance of funded subcontractors and providers, including assuring that all complete deliverables in a timely and high-quality manner
- Coordinate outreach, recruitment, and retention efforts for CHWs entering the training program
- Work closely with in Date Coordinator on data collection, a system for collecting participant data, evaluation, and related data necessary for reporting
- Use technology to access, collect, analyze, use, maintain, and disseminate project reporting and data
- Participate in overall CHW Training Program evaluation. Lead the development and execution of an CHW Training Program evaluation plan, including developing and deploying assessment tools and surveys as needed
- Oversee the planning and design of the various public health elearning curricula and resources. This includes gathering and reviewing existing curricula in specific content areas. This may also involve conducting literature reviews and providing written synopses.
- Ensure all training and workforce development resources are competent in cross-cultural with understanding and respect of values, attitudes, beliefs, and languages that differ across cultures and geographic locations
- Support business development in preparing concept papers, project proposals, reviewing contracts, and communicating with stakeholders regarding various CHW proposals.
- Research and assist in grant proposal applications to expand the breadth of MCD’s CHW training programs.
- Participate regularly in conferences and meetings to develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, clients, contractors, or government officials while keeping abreast of trends in the field.
- Perform all aspects of personnel management for assigned project staff and contractors, including annual performance evaluations, performance management, HR notification and collaboration, team development planning and implementation, and communication with team members.
- Lead by example, foster a sense of teamwork, inspire a sense of personal and professional accountability and promote positive morale that supports productivity and high quality of work for the individual team, the U.S. Programs and MCD as a whole.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience :
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in health-related field is required. Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated cultural competence are essential. Detailed knowledge of all current Microsoft Office and various telehealth technology and software programs as well as any other software programs necessary to perform the job.
Collaborative leader; able to elevate the success of colleagues, stakeholders and community.- Ability to exercise sound judgment within a context of competing priorities, agendas, and partner sensitivities.
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently, from office or in the community.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - communication, networking, group facilitation.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities and have a sense of urgency with deadlines.
- Ability to establish priorities for organization, staff, and self.
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with diverse partner organizations.
- Strong communication skills: ability to listen well, write, and speak effectively.
- Strong proposal writing and track record securing funds for non-profit programs.
- Experienced administrator skilled in staff, contract, organizational, and financial management.
- Bilingual, fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English language skills. Additional languages are a plus
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Public Health or related field preferred.
- Experience as a previous community health worker or CHW supervisor
- Understanding of and commitment to MCD’s mission, vision, and values.
- Demonstrated experience directly supervising staff.
- Extensive record of accomplishment with public health improvement, organizational development, and leading diverse teams, programs and projects.
- Demonstrated non-profit knowledge and skills.
- Evidence of successful grant writing and fee for service proposal preparation.
- Evidence of collaboration across local, regional, and national systems and stakeholders.
- Evidence of project planning and management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Evidence of continuing education and professional development.
