Position Purpose: Develop and coordinate materials for internal and external communications.

Writes, modifies or develops communications (letters, provider updates, flyers and other collateral materials) and operations manual content to maintain the appropriateness of the information available to our provider community and internal associates. Knowledge of all aspects of managed care is preferable, as well as versatility and experience in technical writing and marketing writing styles.
Determines, based on information gathered from meetings, reading and other sources of information, when changes are necessary to communicate to providers via a provider update, letter or other type of material, and/or modify operations manuals. Exceptional writing and comprehension skills, with the ability to formulate complex technical, regulatory and contractual information into understandable written documents is critical.
Attends meetings (as an official representation of the Provider Communications Department) across all operational and administrative areas in order to maintain thorough knowledge of any changes in legislation, regulations and administrative policies regarding product lines.
Following adequate training period, able to self-manage communication projects with varying degrees of complexity. Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills are critical, as well as the ability to work under tight timelines.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field. 2-4 years of communications experience. Communications experience in the healthcare and health insurance marketplace preferred.
