Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Property and Facilities Manager. The primary function of the Property and Facilities Manager is to assist senior management and local management teams in planning and developing facilities and new construction. Provides advice and direction on new construction, renovations and major facility repair projects. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Establishes and monitors preventive maintenance programs for various building systems.

  • Works with senior management and local management teams on new construction, renovations and major facility repair projects.
  • Periodically inspects construction projects to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Reports back to senior management on the progress and completion status of the projects.
  • Works with architects, general contractors and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed as specified. Ensures that change orders are communicated effectively to senior management and applicable contractors/architects.
  • Interacts with governmental officials and regulatory agencies as required to ensure that projects comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Works with local management team to identify potential properties for new construction.
  • Provides detailed reports and construction cost estimates to local management teams and senior management. Maintains all records regarding construction projects.
  • Develops long term and short-term maintenance plans and programs to ensure that capital equipment is properly maintained and serviced to maximize efficiency and performance. Monitors completion of maintenance. Negotiates vendor contracts to perform preventive maintenance programs.
  • Periodically travels to branches to conduct inspections to ensure facilities meet MHC image standards. Reports findings to local management teams and senior management. Works with local management to develop action plans to address any issues or concerns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Three years or more of work experience in supervising construction projects.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or Architecture is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple projects and numerous activities to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be willing to travel 50% of the time and stay for extended periods to manage projects.
