MBS Solutions has the immediate need of a Commercial Plumbing Technician on 1st Shift in York, PA.
JOB TITLE - Light Commercial Plumber | Commercial Plumbing Technician

INDUSTRY - HVAC/R, Plumbing, and Construction Services

PAY RATE - $20-30/hr BOE

LOCATION-

York, PA 17404

SHIFT: 1 st Shift: 7AM-3:30PM | Monday-Friday

**Hours can vary dependent upon projects and customer requests**

OVERTIME: Yes, company has on-call rotation once every 6 weeks that they must be available for. They will also require work on Saturdays as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Light Commercial Plumber will ideally have 4+ years prior plumbing work experience in residential and/or commercial construction jobs, current plumbing license is a plus, and a valid driver's license is a must. The plumber will be responsible for all facets of plumbing systems such as but not limited to service, repair, and install, etc. to ensure customer satisfaction. The ability to work independently as required or as a team to lift tools, systems, parts, etc. and the ability to use a hand-held computer to document daily work performed required.

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES-

Service Plumbing Light commercial: ( commercial described as, but not limited to, water, waste, venting, gas and air for apartment complexes, warehouses and building renovations )

• The plumber will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, installation, etc. of plumbing systems to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Service, repair, installation of all facets of Plumbing found within a residential or commercial building or as deemed necessary.
• Proficient in the use of all power, hand, specialty tools, etc. related to the Plumbing trade; Additionally the use of saws, pipe cutters and other tools
• Install and repair commercial piping and plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, etc.) with the knowledge of the various kinds of of valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
• Adhere to current regulations as it relates to plumbing to ensure systems pass inspection the first time
• Analyze problem and identify appropriate solution, tools and materials for repair
• Excellent troubleshooting, inspection, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to investigate, coordinate, and conduct all aspects of plumbing repairs within specifications resulting in satisfactory customer service.
• Replacements, installs, and repairs of but not limited to toilets, urinals, faucets, outdoor hydrants, well pumps and well tanks, water heaters, and sewage grinder pumps, drain line auguring, drain line video inspections, above ground and underground sewer and water line repairs and replacements, re-piping, as well as some bathroom/kitchen remodeling projects.
• Ability to service customers by analyzing work, listening to client concerns, and completing work in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• As the expert, ability to clearly explain what needs to be done and why, if needed providing step-by-step instructions and or answering customers' questions while remaining professional and courteous.
• Maintaining water, line, pipe, and plumbing treatments in plumbing systems; Performing preventive maintenance as needed or requested.

• Ability to prioritize and manage workflow; Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Required to have computer skills to use handheld computer and software systems to keep track of clients and employees, documentation of daily work performed, etc.
• Knowledge and working use of following and implementing safety procedures
• Ability and openness to be a part of an on-call rotation between all technicians.
  

OVERALL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must have clean driving record for at least the past 3 years
• Must have 2-5+ years of technician experience in plumbing work, and or technical schooling/ apprenticeship to equal/ translate into experience.
• Candidates must have excellent customer service skills as they will be entering and conducting business within customer's homes and businesses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Technicians will receive company vehicle upon reporting to the shop each day before going out to worksites.
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
• Requires the ability be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs., as required.
• Requires the ability to stoop, crouch, squat, crawl, and kneel, and bend or twist the body.
• Requires the ability to stand and or move around while on worksites and for the majority of shift.
• Requires the use of arms and hands to reach, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls and fingers to grasp, move, or assemble small to very small objects.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech and hearing.
• Requires the ability to and use of vision to adjust focus, detect different colors, depths, distances, shapes, and sizing.
