Commercial HVAC Journeyman Installer

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

  • Install and calibrate HVAC systems including Air Conditioners, Furnaces, Package Units, Coils, Mini-Splits, Thermostats, etc. in both Residential and Commercial sites
  • Comprehend and interpret drawings and blueprints, including design specifications, ensuring proper installation of equipment
  • Monitor system operations to sustain efficiency and comply with technical specifications, manufacturer instructions, and local procedures and codes
  • Engage in troubleshooting and problem solving when needed with a strong attention to detail
  • Coordinate with general contractors and customers to resolve any issues or concerns
  • Ability to fabricate, assemble and install duct work
  • Comply with all applicable Skradski Heating & Cooling policies and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area
  • Assist with the training and development of Apprentice Installers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 years of experience working on commercial heating and air conditioning systems and controls
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of Air Conditioning & Heating, including Heat Pumps, GEO Thermo-Systems, Wiring, Piping, Airflow Control and Refrigerant
  • Vocational or technical education, or related experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and apply basic math
  • Understand local electrical and HVAC​ codes
  • Must possess documentation and conceptual skills, attention to detail and dependability
  • Knowledge of hazard and safety practices common to trade
  • Ability to adapt to different working environments, including working on ladders
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must possess good customer service and communication skills
  • Must believe in and display honesty and integrity, and have a morals/values system
  • Must be able to braze/solder/weld
  • Must understand technical operating, service, and repair manuals

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS

  • City of Omaha Journeyman’s License
  • EPA certification for refrigerant
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • NATE certification preferred

PAY RANGE

  • $25 - $40 based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
