Position Summary

Commercial Loan Document Specialists are frontline representatives who prepare document packages for all commercial loan types and follow established lending policies and procedures. This essential, service-orientated role is responsible for providing A+ Customer Service to lending personnel by responding promptly and accurately to document requests. All Heartland Bank Commercial Loan Document Specialists are multi-functional, customer-oriented individuals who rely on instructions and pre-established procedures to perform the functions of this job. They work under the immediate supervision of others.

Commercial Loan Document Specialist I involves the training and understanding of how to prepare commercial loan documents including new loans and renewals based on best practices.

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and deliver compliant, enforceable loan document packages for Commercial loan types utilizing Bank software.
• Review documents to ensure the structure and terms of the loans conform to credit approval and Bank policies.
• Analyze business entity structures to ensure accurate loan documents.
• Communicate issues to lending officers and loan assistants.
• Conduct due diligence of title commitments, flood determinations, insurance and other pre-closing items.
• Set up specific document requirements in the imaging and tracking system.
• Adhere to Bank policies and procedures as well as industry regulations.
• Manage multiple tasks and respond to pressure and change with poise and confidence.

Other Job Requirements

• Any experience in the following programs would be beneficial: LaserPro, INFO-ACCESS, OnBase, SharePoint, Xperience

Education and Experience Requirements

• Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years' experience in Consumer or Commercial Loan Processing preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years' experience in Loan Document preparation preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
