Shift: 1st (Monday thru Friday)

2nd (Monday thru Thursday)

Pay: Starting at $27.15 per hour (Plus $2 shift premium if hired on 2nd shift)

The Shell Rock, IA CNC Machinist position involves producing both finished goods and component parts used using various types of machining technology including conventional metal turning equipment, CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers and/or CNC lathes.

Requirements:

• Read blue prints and able to setup, modify and run component parts and finished goods using pre-determined parameters on a variety of CNC or manual machines.

• The operator must understand the basic operational parameters and setup processes involved in the machining process and be able to make periodic adjustments and/or modifications at each of the respective work center(s) during a given production run cycle
• Set up and operate lathes, surface grinders, and milling machines to make metal parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and vertical machining centers to make metal parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions
• Set up and operate 3 axis mills (CNC and manual), lathes, and surface grinders to make metal parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions

Physical Demands:

• Full range of motion in arms, legs and shoulders
• Solid hand/eye coordination in order to properly assemble small components
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma (or GED)
• Able to successfully complete all applicable OSHA and company sponsored trainings
