For over 90 years, Gold Medal has been a family-owned business and a leader in the concession industry for both equipment and supplies including popcorn, cotton candy, Sno-Kones and much more. Due to our continued growth, we are searching for an experienced CNC Machining Center Programmer to join our Machine Shop team.

The CNC Machining Center Programmer will develop programs and fixturing for a variety of Haas Mills, Haas Lathes, Bridgeport type mills, and other “manual” machine centers.

Primary Responsibilities

· Develops programs and fixturing for Haas Mills, Haas Lathes, Bridgeport type mills, and other “manual” machine centers (Drill press, band saw, etc.).

· Partners with Engineering to design and build fixtures.

· Coaches/instructs machine operators in proper set-up and run procedures for new parts.

· Creates machine set-up sheet instructions including tool lengths and work offsets.

·Responsible for machining parts to print, adjusting tool offsets and checking own work.

Qualifications

· 5-7 years of Machine Shop experience preferred

· Technical School certificate/degree preferred.

· Experience programming or using the following technologies:

o “C” axis and live tooling on HAAS CNC Lathes

o Haas controls and G & M codes.

o GibbsCam programming software.

o AutoDesk Vault drafting software.

o Mill’s “A” axis a plus.

·Must be able to read, follow and understand blueprints, methods and procedural instructions.

·Ability to identify common raw materials, proper tooling and work-holding devices

·Competent with typical measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers, indicators, and edge finders).

·Must be able to stand for long periods in a fast paced shop environment.

·Regularly required to stand, bend and reach and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation is based on job requirements and your skill level. In addition to an excellent benefit package which includes 8 paid holidays, Gold Medal pays for 90% of the costs of medical insurance for our employees. We also offer an excellent 401k plan and a PTO program that offers 3 weeks of paid time off after one year.
