Overview
The Cloud Delivery Engineer is responsible for implementing, standardizing and managing the C1 cloud infrastructure. This position requires a broad IT background, with experience in many pieces of the cloud infrastructure stack. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams in operating and innovating the Cloud platform architecture and applications, and is a key participant who drives operating and service excellence supporting internal/external stakeholders and partners
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Implements and maintains infrastructure used to support C1 cloud applications
- Participates in formulation of company’s Cloud architecture and business system plans; assessing cost and feasibility, and ensuring the plans are aligned with and support the strategic goals of the Cloud business
- Delivers 24/7 service operations and KPI compliance
- Provides hands-on technical depth which enables direct oversight, problem-solving leadership and participation in complex implementation, system upgrades, and operational trouble shooting
- Builds relationships with technology providers that can help satisfy business requirements as expressed in the strategic infrastructure vision
- Consults with customers to determine business needs and translate those needs into technical requirements
- Communicates and coordinates technical activities with appropriate teams
- Supports, maintains and builds Cloud offerings, including OpenStack/Linux/Windows technologies, while adhering to industry best practices
- Scopes requirements into formal processes and/or Statements of Work
- Executes project plans for customer engagements
- Documents and defines success criteria and test plans with customers
- Supports customer escalations as needed
- Provides remote cutover support
- Partners with end customers to ensure a successful project implementation
- Provides both technical and user training to the customers as needed
- Performs environmental audits as required to ensure consistent deployment
- Acquires and maintains current knowledge of relevant product offerings and support policies in order to provide technically accurate solutions to customers
- Develops and manages baseline hardware and configuration standards for global datacenter data/voice networks
- Oversees the stability and consistency of the global network deployment
- Mentors and develops junior engineering staff members
- Communicates network connectivity requirements with internal resources, customers, and telephony/data providers
- Defines and works with DevOps to implement proactive monitoring of the global production environment and identify emerging issues

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business, IT, finance or experience and educational equivalent
- 5+ years of cloud service delivery experience
- Cloud knowledge and applied experience
- Deep knowledge of Cloud Architectures
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure solutions (collaboration, enterprise networking, data solutions and security products and service) and a strong services orientation
- Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills are essential

- Strong multi-level relationship management, persuasion and influencing skills
