Masters Level Clinician, SATP - Schenectady, NY

$2,500 Sign on Bonus (paid in two parts)

Northern River is seeking a Master Level Clinician for The Sexual Abuse Treatment Program at Northeast Parent & Child Society in our Schenectady office to provide assessment and treatment to child victims of sexual abuse and non-offending parents. The Sexual Abuse Treatment Program helps children and non-offending family members in Schenectady County heal from the damaging effects of child sexual abuse. The program’s goal is to reduce the trauma experienced by each family member and to help the family adjust and reorganize in a manner to help ensure the healthy development and ongoing protection of the child.

What a Master Level Clinician can expect:

• Providing individual and family therapy to child victims of sexual abuse and their families
• Participating in and/or conducting sexual abuse evaluations
• Preparing for and providing expert witness testimony in Family Court
• Completing paperwork properly and within the agency, county, and state guidelines
• Utilizing the NYS OCFS connections database for all record-keeping
• Ensure the coordination of services with Schenectady County DSS, service providers, and collaterals involved with each youth and his/her family
• Services are office-based

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, which includes one evening shift.

Your experience and qualification:

• Master's degree with an NYS License in one of the mental health-related fields such as social work or mental health counseling (will accept applicants who are license eligible and who are working towards licensure);
• Three or more years of experience in the child and family services sector is preferred.
