FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT CAMILLUS: For more than 62 years, Camillus House has provided a variety of programs to address the needs of individuals who are mentally ill and suffer from substance abuse disorders, with the end goal of helping them achieve housing stability. THE POSITION: We are looking for licensed, compassionate professionals to work in a dynamic and rewarding environment providing one-on-one and group clinical therapeutic services to clients in various programs offered at Camillus House. Licensed Clinician positions are available in our Emergency Housing, Behavioral Health (treatment) Housing, Veterans Programs, and Scattered-site and Project-based Permanent Supportive Housing. Camillus House Licensed Clinicians must be energetic self-starters, passionate about engaging and helping homeless individuals who require therapeutic interventions, have excellent communication skills, be attentive to detail and be relentless in driving outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will:

• Be able to understand and practice the mission of Camillus House.
• Have a Master’s Degree in Mental Health/Social Work, Therapy or a related field preferred; any appropriate combination of education, experience and/or certification will be considered.
• Be a Licensed Mental Health/Social Worker to provide counseling in the State of FL.
• Be comfortable working directly with highly vulnerable populations to complete thorough behavioral health needs assessments, and provide individual/group counseling and psycho-educational groups; work with their assigned clients to develop treatment plans and goals to address their unique needs and coordinate with case managers and other inside and outside partners to secure services for the client, with the goal of addressing issues and barriers so that they may secure and/or maintain housing stability; assesses and initiate crisis interventions and Baker Act, if necessary; and assist in the supervision of program interns.
• Be proficient in oral/written English and have the ability to document client progress and activity in a timely manner
• Have competency in MS Office/Outlook and other data entry programs
• Be able to successfully complete Level II background screening and toxicology test, have a Valid FL Driver License with clean driving record, and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: While not required, it would be great if the successful candidate also:

• Is familiar with evidence-based, trauma informed models in a social work setting.
• Has prior experience providing clinical therapeutic services to vulnerable populations and the homeless in particular.
• Has prior experience working with populations who have mental health and/or substance use histories, or specific training/certifications in those areas.
• Is familiar with ICANotes
• Is familiar with the homeless system of care (e.g. coordinated entry, housing first, HMIS)
• Is familiar with other services available to assist homeless persons, (Social Security, DCF, Medicaid, etc.)
• Is Bilingual (Spanish or Creole)
