Parker Tide is a veteran-owned, small business in DC. We serve as a value-added partner to the government. We are seeking Clinical Project Specialist to work with one of our clients in Bethesda, MD.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or health-related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a clinical or clinical research environment.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and the ability to perform complex internet and database searches.
- Excellent, proactive project management and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in effective/efficient meeting management.
- Strong analytical, communications skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Place of Performance: Bethesda, MD - telework 4 days per week, onsite one day per week.
Period of Performance: 6-12 months with possible extension.
Salary: $42.00 per hour plus applicable hourly health and welfare benefit.
Project Management
- Work closely with staff who administer clinical research applications and awards in their portfolios to provide oversight and management of clinical research.
- Provide recommendations to staff on efficient use of resources for operations support.
- Review and analyze existing and upcoming clinical research studies to identify adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and assess and make recommendations for appropriate clinical, data and safety monitoring of clinical studies.
- Work with staff who provide oversight and management for supported clinical research.
- Provide quality and format reviews and provide feedback on a variety of clinical research documents including, research protocols, informed consent documents, clinical site quality management reports, site initiation visit summaries and reports, data management plans, progress tracking reports, and safety monitoring plans
- Track, organize, generate analyses, and reports via databases for evaluation of project needs.
- Provide quality review of clinical research guidelines, tools, and templates.
- Update and maintain electronic and paper files; copy and distribute materials.
- Support the planning, convening, and execution for various meetings.
- Work closely with staff to provide updates to and restructuring of the public facing website.
Communications
- Report directly to the Director of the organization.
- Meet with staff on a regular basis to provide oral reports on the status of on-going projects and to receive new assignments.
- Maintain ongoing, proactive communication with key personnel and staff; gather, provide, and exchange information with investigators, their staff, and other relevant individuals.
- Communicate with IT staff on technological needs for the various websites and systems used.
- Prepare summaries of information for review by staff responsible for managing and overseeing clinical research programs.
- Maintain ongoing, proactive communication with Project Scientists, Program Officials and staff, including regular meetings with other partners.
Meetings and Conferences
- Coordinate logistics for in-person meetings, monthly teleconferences, or videoconferences.
- Prepare meeting materials, such as spreadsheets, letters, rosters, agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes/summaries.
