Northbound Treatment Services is a nationally recognized residential addiction treatment program for adults. Accredited by The Joint Commission, Northbound meets the highest quality standards for behavioral health and client care.
Northbound is looking for a Clinical Director for our residential facility.
The Clinical Director oversees the daily clinical management of assigned programs in conjunction with affiliated program managers and Leadership Team. The Director will also act as a resource to case management and counseling staff when troubleshooting clinical issues and ensuring the delivery of quality treatment
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Will oversee daily clinical issues, including but not limited to, meet with clients or families as deemed clinically appropriate; responsible for decisions regarding unusual discharges and providing proactive direction to minimize crises. Will assure that client records are compliant with all regulatory and certification entities and accurately reflect the clients course of care.
- Supervises assigned staff to focus on staff development, training, and supervision.
- Conduct monthly individual face to face supervision with each therapist and program manager in assigned departments
- Engage in and document quarterly coaching sessions with each Program Manager in assigned departments
- Manages the clinical budget, adhering to common goals, reviewing, and formalizing the budget as necessary
- Collaborate with program managers to arrange a team/culture building experience for program staff quarterly
- Meet monthly with Operations Supervisors team for bi-directional feedback, training, and enhanced cohesion
- Will be actively involved with the HPMS, and recommends changes for improvement based on the clinical needs of the population.
- Collaborates with Marketing, Accounting, Intake, Admissions & Continuing Care, resolving problems to improve seamless continuum functioning.
- Will ensure compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards including Joint Commission, CARF and ASAM.
- Assist the case managers and therapists in the residential units. Attend multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and administrative meetings.
- Accept special projects as related to the enhancement of the clinical program and overall Strategic Plan.
- Troubleshoot grievances and incident reports.
- Assist in facilitation of transfers related to psychiatric crises involving and coordinating the multidisciplinary team.
- Meet with families participating in family program when necessary.

Physical Requirements
1. Must be able to work extended hours, travel as needed.
2. Must be able to deliver presentations that may be both multiple times and for lengthy time periods.
3. Must be able to lift to 20 lbs.
Qualifications
1. Master’s Degree with 3 years supervisory experience in an inpatient or chemical dependency facility.
2. If in recovery, 5 years of continuous sobriety is required.
3. Current CA CADC, LMFT or similar certificate/licensure
4. Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
