The Department of Psychiatry/Child and Adolescent Psychiatry has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Clinical Care Coordinator/Navigator position.

The University of Colorado | Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for a Clinical Care Coordinator/Navigator (Program Assistant II). This full-time, University Staff (non-classified) position will support Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, supported by the department of Psychiatry via CU School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, and University Physician’s Inc. This role will be responsible for clinical care coordination/ navigation (CCN) for primary care providers seeking either local resources for their patient's behavioral health needs or for seeking consultation with the child and adolescent psychologist or psychiatrist.

Examples of Work Performed
The Clinical Care Coordinator/Navigator (CCN) will initiate the consultation episode by collecting specific information about the patient, and the service being requested, and arranging for a telephone or electronic consultation with the designated professional. For face-to-face or telehealth consultations, the CCN will guide the process including ensuring all requested pre-consult materials are complete such as past psychological testing, current self-report measures, other pertinent historical information, etc., and score any self-report instruments. The CCN will then help to arrange the appointment for 1x only consultation. The CCN will enter the data obtain from each distinct point of contact with pediatric primary care providers into the secure database management system. The CCN will help to coordinate and schedule enrollment meetings with external stakeholders (e.g. practices, school-based health centers, etc.), and conduct outreach to advocate the program in the community. Serve and assist external stakeholders (e.g. practices) as a resource and point of contact for questions related to our consultation/education service. Assist in coordinating and organizing meetings, events, and other activities, and take meeting minutes. Assist with the development of daily operation procedures, workflows, and other assets to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Perform other duties that may be assigned by the program manager and the leadership team.

Minimum Requirements
- Five years of experience in a medical administration or support field related to the work assigned to the position.
Substitution: College coursework with experience in child mental health or social work may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. A certified medical assistant certificate may substitute for three years of the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with experience in child mental health or social work or certified medical assistant
- 2 years work experience in a medical office
- Experience managing and handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience working with students, staff, and faculty, within higher education and/or academic medical environment.
- Experience working with EPIC or another electronic medical system.
- Experience working with Google documents, and the RedCAP database system.
- Advanced proficiency with at least one virtual meeting system (e.g., Zoom, Teams, or other).
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position has been established at $53,832 to $59,364 and is commensurate with skills and experience.
