JOB TITLE: CLIENT SUPPORT WORKER
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY: Client Support Worker will encourage and assist our individuals to live independently and productive lives. The Client Support Worker will follow guidelines and specific instructions pertaining to the Individuals’ Support Plan. The position will assist with personal care needs, support individual expression, beliefs, and encourage meaningful interactions between our individual’s and the community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
GENERAL:
- Conduct all professional activity in an ethical manner.
- Conform to all applicable Agency policies and procedures.
- In conjunction with other staff assist in identifying and eliminating any situation which puts at risk the health and/or safety of clients, staff, or others who come in contact with site operations.
- Utilize literature, workshops, and other training aids to continually improve clinical and administrative skills.
- Assist in assuring Agency compliance with all related licensing and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain licensure/credentials by completing all recommended continuing education requirements.
- Other responsibilities and tasks as may be assigned.
DIRECT SERVICE:
· Effectively teach clients life skills in home management, money management and shopping.
· Assist client with toileting and feeding needs as outlines in their ISP.
· Facilitate group activities focused within the scope of services and the individual’s goals outlined in the ISP.
· Transport individuals in daily activities.
· Timely reporting non-compliance of rules and regulations and nay disruptive or inappropriate client behavior to supervisor
· Observe and monitor client behavior using the ability to effectively deal with conflict situations, manage aggressive behavior, and to use nonviolent crisis intervention and behavioral techniques, during assignment and properly chart observations and accidents in accordance with program policies and procedures.
· Maintain confidentiality for all indirect/direct service in accordance with agency policies and HIPPA policies.
· Other responsibilities and tasks as may be assigned.
ADMINISTRATIVE:
- Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency policies.
- Ensure timely completion of agency required trainings/workshops.
- Other responsibilities and tasks as may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education – High school Diploma/GED
B. Experience – Minimum two - year (2) providing social or direct care services to groups of special
needs individuals in a human services setting
C. Other - Criminal background check clearance, official academic transcripts, valid driver’s license/ID, drug screen, TB test
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
