Position Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Commit to a welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental approach with all clients, callers, and coworkers
  • Help animals find new homes via our same-day adoption process
  • Support client questions in person, by phone, and via email
  • Process register transactions and support customers with products in retail store
  • Welcome animals arriving via owner surrenders, transfers from other organizations, and end-of-life services.
  • Maintain accurate and objective records in our animal management software
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
  • Work cooperatively within your own department and cross departmentally
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Training Dates: Tuesday, February 7th - Saturday, February 25th. Open availability required on all Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays during training date range. New hire orientation on Monday, February 6th.
  • Availability to work one of the schedules below, a weekend shift, and rotating holidays.
  • Available positions full-time only:
    • Saturday 9:45-7 pm, Tuesday 1-8 pm, Wednesday 2-8 pm, Thursday 10:45-8 pm, Friday 10:45-8 pm
    • Saturday 9:45-7 pm, Tuesday 10:45-8 pm, Wednesday 10:45-7 pm, Thursday 10:45-7 pm, Friday 2-8 pm
    • Saturday 9:45-7 pm, Tuesday 10:45-6 pm, Wednesday 10:45-7 pm, Thursday 10:45-8 pm, Friday 12-7 pm
  • Must be able to routinely carry 25lbs and up to 50lbs

  • Ability to partner with clients, staff, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to manage assigned personal schedule and timecard
  • Prior client services and animal experience a plus
