Client Engagement Managers lead and coordinate customer relationships. Their insights empower customers to meet their carbon management goals. A Client Engagement Manager at Carbon Direct bridges the gap between our expert scientists and the client’s needs. Responsibilities include leading problem-solving efforts, coordinating client communications, acquiring subject matter expertise, and creating deliverables. Client Engagement Managers facilitate major projects and coordinate across teams and stakeholders, but are also expected to be stand-alone contributors.
Responsibilities
- Managing client engagements, acting as the liaison between business and science
- Developing and refining statements of work
- Leading project management and ensuring that key milestones are achieved
- Gaining leadership and cross-team buy-in internally
- Determining what deliverables look like and keeping track of timelines to ensure deadlines are met
- Advising and presenting to senior client executives
- Acquiring deep knowledge within the firm’s target industries and functions
- Creating strong analytical deliverables that enhances client serviceDeveloping coherent messaging and communicating effectively to multiple audiences
Requirements
- Work experience, ideally with time spent in a position at a consulting firm or managing client engagements in an analogous role
- Experience in consulting business development (e.g., problem solving on client needs, creating proposals and case studies)
- Experience developing and delivering client presentations/communications
- Experience in finance and/or market development (dedicated experience in carbon or renewables markets is a plus)
- Ability to translate scientific findings and recommendations into business insights
- Ability to contribute across multiple functions of the team (e.g., high-level communication, deck refinement, analysis)
- Outstanding track record of success in past professional and academic endeavors
- Experience in a relevant scientific field a plusExperience communicating with scientists/academics a plus
Compensation: $90,000-$150,000
- range covers multiple levels, as determined throughout the course of the interview process
