This position is at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland and we welcome All. You will be helping to strengthen our capacity to serve more community members across eight counties through volunteerism. As a Volunteer Coordinator VISTA, you will be performing activities such as volunteer/intern recruitment and management, community and partnership outreach (colleges, universities, sororities and fraternities), research, creating training manuals and workshops, and event planning. The VISTA will work closely with the Talent Integration Administrator to create and strengthen processes and procedures to streamline and enhance the volunteer program. Member Duties : The VISTA will support the volunteer program by: 1. Working with the Talent Integration Administrator on program planning, coordination, communication, recruitment, data management and record keeping. 2. Recruit and manage volunteers and interns. 3. Develop training resources such as a volunteer/intern supervisor’s manual. 4. Improve and expand existing policies and procedures. Propose changes to improve and streamline the program. 5. Review existing volunteer opportunity descriptions and create new descriptions for programs throughout the organization. 6. Collaborate with Marketing to enhance social media presence and maintain Catholic Charities’ website. 7. Research and implement best practices and volunteer recognition practices to bolster engagement. 8. Strategize and assist with the planning and implementation of intern events/huddles (workshops, networking opportunities). 9. Establish and foster new relationships with colleges and universities, sororities and fraternities.
