Genius Gems Chelsea LLC (www.geniusgems.com) is a STEM-based experience for kids and adults now open at 555 6th Avenue in Manattan, between 15th and 16th Streets. Genius Gems has the largest collection of magnetic tiles in the world. We offer a fast-paced, exciting environment filled with learning and creative energy. We are seeking enthusiastic Clean Team Associates to join our growing team of 30+ innovative professionals to help us keep our place looking its best. We can't wait to show you the beautiful space we have created!

Your Day-to-Day:

• Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Clean and stock restrooms at regular intervals
• Assists guests when necessary
• Collect and dispose of trash throughout shift and as needed
• Carry out deep cleaning tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Ability to handle equipment and machinery, training provided
• Ability to manage your time efficiently
• Work well unsupervised
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Integrity
• High school degree
• 2+ years experience in museums, high-end housing or commercial preferred
