American Crane School is seeking a Classroom Instructor/Crane Trainer. This position will require up to 75% travel. This position offers the potential to grow within the company for the right individual.

JOB FUNCTION:

To professionally and courteously instruct candidates to prepare for the written crane certification exams and train for the practical exams. Each team member must be able to engage and teach students to understand the principles of crane operation, as well as crane safety. This is a completely remote position that requires frequent travel to training and testing locations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide clear, concise, and consistent instruction to crane certification candidates based on the training program that ACS has developed
• Always be in compliance with company and company partner’s policies and directives
• Provide every student with one-on-one interaction
• Provide a positive environment
• Yard and crane maintenance
• Continuously seek to increase their own knowledge of the crane industry

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Crane related experience preferred, but not required
• Rigger/Signal Person experience preferred, but not required
• Yard and crane maintenance experience preferred, but not required
• Experience with classroom instruction preferably in the safety, crane, or construction industry preferred, but not required
• Must be comfortable in front of a group of 20-30 students
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills
• Possess the ability to work independently and multitask
• Possess intermediate computer and technological skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint a MUST) and DropBox
• Have an “arrive early and stay late” attitude
• Some sales experience considered a plus

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must successfully complete company training
• Must successfully pass background checks
• Must have cellular phone (smart phone preferred) and laptop computer with current Microsoft Office Suite installed
• Must be willing to travel regularly throughout California and Texas

Pay: $18.00 - $37.94 per hour
