The full hiring range for this role is: $55,300-$83,000 annually; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Western National is searching for a highly motivated Claims Representative to join our Total Loss Team. The individual in this position will serve the important role of handling and resolving first and third party personal and commercial lines vehicle total loss claims.

This is an in-office role to start with potential hybrid depending on business needs.

- Handles high volume, low to moderate complexity claims within settlement authority.
- Investigates and reviews policy forms, facts and documents related to claims to make appropriate decisions on claims resolution.
- Establishes and reviews proper reserves for each claim based upon thorough investigation, evaluation, and experience.
- Maintains appropriate reports to ensure current status of claims are clearly documented at all times.
- Ensures customer service excellence by phone and email.
- Provides direction to outside resources.
- At least 1 year of prior claims handling experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience required.
- Previous auto claims experience preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment and software packages.
- AIC or AINS certification is a plus.
