CHILD Protective Services - START Project Coordinator
Job description
The START Project Coordinator provides supervision to the START workers and family mentors, delivering day-to-day guidance on Child Protective Services (CPS) case components, peer support services, and completion of minimum work guidelines. The START Project Coordinator provides oversight and support of the START dyads and assures compliance with all Child Welfare-related county, human resources, and governmental policies, rules and statutes including those covered by local, state, and federal laws specific to the START team.
This position is generally Monday through Friday, day shift, but must have evening and weekend availability.
Formal Education, Certification/Licensure, & Other Requirements
1. Must have a bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field.
2. Must have a social work license or be eligible for a provisional social work license.
3. Must possess a valid West Virginia driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
4. One year of experience working with individuals with substance use disordersand/or co-occurring mental health disorders preferred.
5. One year of CPS experience is preferred.
6. Must be able to pass all required background checks.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Provides day-to-day oversight of the Raleigh and Fayette County START dyads.
2. Attends START steering committee meetings to mitigate barriers to START implementation at the local, regional, and state level.
3. Records and maintains all appropriate data for grant reporting and START program evaluation.
4. Tracks START dyad daily activities to ensure the minimum work guidelines are being met.
5. Facilitates initial shared decision-making meeting for each START family referral.
6. Reviews START dyad documentation for quality and provides reflective supervision for START CPS workers and Family Mentors.
7. Staffs new START referrals received.
8. Communicates and educates other Child Welfare staff on the START program and eligibility criteria.
9. Assists START dyads in following up with START families to ensure client needs are being met appropriately.
10. Completes all documentation timely and in accordance with current procedures and processes.
11. Maintain positive working relationships with the community and its resources.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,314.00 - $50,659.00 per year
